Since the first grants awarded in 2006, the Jefferson Trust has awarded a total of $5.5 million to fund 141 new initiatives spanning a broad range of schools, departments, student groups, and academic centers at the University. The chart below shows each grant along with a brief description. Click through to learn more about each grant project and their exciting results.

Additionally, the The Jefferson Trust administers two IM Rec Awards each spring. University club sports teams are eligible for these awards. The Jefferson Trust also gives out three University of Virginia Alumni Association awards each year, including the Distinguished Professor Award, the Ernest H. Ern Distinguished Student Award, and the Distinguished Service Award.
